Thill Big Fish Slider
I found a Big 'Fish Slider Float while guiding an Alaska salmon fishing trip on a Mat-Su Valley river north of Anchorage.. It was extremely easy to see and follow on the water, so I tired it on one of my bobber fishing rods. It worked so well, that I've since ordered several dozen from Sportco. This particular; float has a brass grommet on the top end to ensure easy sliding up the line. As mentioned earlier it is highly visible -- so it can be tracked well even when drifting a bait over 100 yards. There is no exposed stem to break, so the float is durable. I've tried both the 4 inch and 5 inch sizes, and for medium-sized rivers I prefer the 4 inch float -- although the 5 inch has a visibility advantage when fishing in choppy waves, on longer drifts, or under lower light conditions. I highly recommend this quality product --and Sportco has great pricing on the Big Fish Slider.
