Okuma Rockaway Surf Rods
I gave this 4 stars as I don't have any experience with other surf rods but this is a very nice one. You can really heave the line out there with a 4 ounce weight yet it is very sensitive and lets you know when a fish is biting or on. Caught 6 surf perch on one outing, though it was the wife that got 5 of them. Definitely recommend.

love this cost effective rod, I prefer it to my Lamiglas insane surf rod. sportco had it wrapped and shipped across the country in a couple of days. I recommend this rod and sportco!
