The RATTLE-FREE Trailer Hitch Stabilizer insert is designed to give you the smoothest, quietest towing experience you have ever had. This is accomplished by replacing the outdated hitch pin with a plated grade 8 bolt, plated grade 8 serrated flange nut and plated grade 8 lock washer. The bolt & nut pull the ball hitch tightly to one side of the receiver which creates one solid mechanical part (like when building a bridge) which eliminates all movement of the ball hitch. This, in turn, eliminates ball hitch rattle & vibration; reduces mechanical stress on the towing vehicle transmission & drive train; improves the efficiency and smooth stopping of surge brakes; and reduces trailer sway. The grade 8 bolt used in the Rattle-Free Stabilizer has a shear strength of over 28,000 lbs which is more than 4-times stronger than a standard hitch pin or the welds on a standard ball hitch. The Rattle-Free Hitch Stabilizer is easy to install – it requires no special tools (just a socket wrench) and no alterations to your hollow channel ball hitch or receiver are necessary. It is designed to fit standard 2” hollow channel ball hitches but can also be used on 2 ½” hitches.
